Behind every Rempp kitchen there is the passionate commitment of our employees, who do their best to create kitchens that are convincing all around.

Sustainability and declaration of environmental protection

Rempp Küchen products are manufactured in accordance with applicable statutory environmental standards. At Rempp, sustainability is not just a catchphrase in the development, material procurement and production, we rather place the emphasis on producing products with long service life in all areas.

Our employees are made aware of the need to use natural resources with the utmost care during selection, processing and disposal.

Features that characterise Rempp’s environmental thinking

  1. Production location

The manufacture of all Rempp kitchen models is carried out exclusively at the Wildberg site in Switzerland. Very qualified employees with experience guarantee a continuously reliable good quality. The use of the latest machine technology makes it possible to produce kitchens in a good price-performance ratio.
  2. Delivery routes

All of our principle suppliers produce our supply parts in Europe in accordance with applicable environmental protection provisions. A large portion of the materials used for Rempp kitchens come from long-standing supplier companies from our region less than 300 km away, thanks to which the global environmentally harmful delivery routes can be avoided.
  3. Occupational safety and environmental protection

Our workstations are regularly checked in terms of occupational safety and environmental standards. Our employees are instructed to handle used materials sparingly and responsibly.
  4. Ecological heat generation

The heath generation for our production buildings is guaranteed to 100% using our own production waste. We avoid fossil fuels. Our exhaust gas filters for heaters are equipped according to current test standards.
  5. In-house use of solar power

Over 2/3 of our generated solar power is used in-house, relieving the public power grid. Using the solar power system Rempp Küchen covers approx. 40% of the power need for the production of our kitchens.
  6. Green lungs

The flat roofs of our company buildings are extensively greened. The plants bind fine dust from the air and green roofs are used as intermediate storage for runoff rainwater as well as natural air conditioner. With meadows, fruit and commercial trees not used free areas of the company premises are an important contribution for the biodiversity thanks to which Rempp Küchen contributes to the preservation of the “green lung” at the edge of the Black Forest.
  7. Environment-friendly paint shop

In the paint drying through rotary heat exchanger our paint shop achieves an efficiency level of approx. 85% in heat recovery. This way the heat, which would have been lost if not used, is fed back into the production areas.
  8. Reducing pollutants

At Rempp, all edge bandings are processed from PVC-free plastics (ABS / PP / PA), thanks to which we can avoid toxic chlorine in the manufacturing. For Rempp kitchen furniture, the emission of formaldehyde from the kitchen chipboard is reduced using specially manufactured E0.5 / Carb2 plates. Using the E0.5 / Carb2 plates and thanks to sealing of all open edges, we achieve values that are significantly lower than the permissible standards.
  9. Packaging waste

Furniture is packaged according to the highest environmental protection standards. Cardboard packaging is 100% from organic material and is almost exclusively manufactured from waste paper. The return to the recycling system is performed by certified waste disposal companies.
  10. Transport

Our kitchens are transported without vehicle fleet. The collaboration with our domestic freight forwarders allows for an economical and ecologically reasonable logistics. Empty runs are avoided by optimising route planning.
  11. Wood recycling

Wood recycling share of processed chipboard for Rempp kitchens is about over 50%. This reduces the deforestation of our forests and promotes sustainable forestry.
  12. Second Life

Waste materials not suitable for production are used in “Second-Life” in other sectors as subordinate components e.g. for frame construction. Production waste is delivered separate for recycling after sorting. In addition, our wood waste is thermally utilised (s. ecological heat generation).

Sustainability is successful in the long run

Since its founding in 1930, Rempp has placed value on ensuring that investments in people and production facilities are shaped by the principle of sustainability. Moreover, fair treatment of customers, suppliers and employees is an important basis for long-term success.

The principle of sustainability requires that a lot of the planning takes place over generations in our company. The knowledge from forestry applies here: What is planned today, yields crop only the day after tomorrow – what yields crop today, was planted day before yesterday.

In this sense, the family business Rempp Küchen is committed to also produce kitchens in the future with the best quality, long service life and ecologically responsible.

Uncompromising quality
